Description

Champagne Pop was a unanimous favourite of the brand's because it flattered multiple skin tones and is partly responsible for many people's obsession with highlighter today. The packaging itself is a copper-gold box with little water droplets all over it, similar to that of MAC’s Alluring Aquatic collection. Step 2: Sweep onto the high points of cheeks, creating a "C" shape as you move toward the temple and brow bone. This isn't new; it's in special edition packaging, and I decided to re-review due to slight formula variations over the years and to get more updated swatches as it is such a popular shade. I have very fair and cool toned skin and was wary of the 'apricot' 'goldenness' of this one looking orange, but it's super flattering and I would imagine great for all skin tones - no orange notes at all.

Hourglass, while it can be built up, is subtle enough that even this oily-skinned woman can wear them all over my face as a setting powder. Please let me know if for you have any questions, and stay tuned to the homepage and Instagram for news on all the latest launches and products. The difference is more in texture/by feel and doesn't seem to impact the actual application, as the product applied evenly, blended out without trouble, and had a luminous finish that didn't emphasize my skin's natural texture. BECCA’s lip gloss contain a plumping peptide and work to volumise the lips as well as deliver a high shine. I only got this due to this being one of the best highlighters out there and it isn't disappointing at all.I recommend storing the compact in something padded to reduce the chance of breakage, or you could always mummify it with a dozen rubber bands like some kind of crazy makeup person. I saw people on youtube using hourglass as setting power and bronzer, and got so confused cuz I always thought it should be a highlighter. As with every Becca highlighter the product is very soft, extremely pigmented and doesn’t emphasize pores. One of the 1,000 Point Perks is a Becca set that will include Champagne Pop although I can’t tell if it’s full-sized.

A celebration of highlight, BECCA's Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter Gradient Glow includes 5 best-selling shades all in one place! Opal definitely has more pink tones, which blends better with my pink blushes, while Champagne Pop has that peachy undertone that’s universally flattering on all skin tones. I found lasting power to be quite good – it stayed put from morning to late evening and it adheres well to the skin. This champagne colored, finely milled pressed powder is smoother than silk and goes on like a dream. It had a smooth, blendable texture that wasn't too soft nor too firmly pressed in the pan, though I have found that Becca's formula is less cream-like and a little drier to the touch over time. May Contain/Peut Contenir [+/-]: CI 77891 (Titanium Dioxide), CI 77491/77492/77499 (Iron Oxides), CI 77742 (Manganese Violet), CI 75470 (Carmine). I’d been dying to try Champagne Pop, a collab with makeup artist and YouTube personality Jaclyn Hill, after reading all the reviews and seeing it used in countless tutorials, but of course it was sold out—and had been for weeks. The Verdict: While Opal has been my number-one-go-to-highlighter through the winter and spring, the more golden Champagne Pop is the perfect color for summer.

In fact, when the lovely PR was introducing me to it over a coffee, it got quite a lot of attention from everyone around us! Having seen memes about Killawatt, I expected it to be so glittery that I would be visible from Mars. As far as opening bottles of champagne with a saber goes: I am not with you on that, but I could get you a longsword. Once applied to my face it became clear that it was quite a bit more pink than the classic highlighter I was looking to duplicate, and surprisingly it was slightly muted in colour.

Much like thousands of other businesses, the 20-year-old Australian company was hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic, and after sharing a statement about its closing via social media, fans of the brand rushed to load up on some of its bestselling products for what may be the last time. On my medium skin tone it looks really nice, not as intense as their other shade Opal which I actually like.

Sweep onto the high points of the cheeks, creating a “C” shape as you move up toward the temple and brow bone. One of my life goals is to someday open a bottle of champagne with a longsword or saber (honestly, I would not be surprised to be the only one of us here with that goal).
